This Works for Me :)

With all the "diets" I have been on throughout the years, I have to say the Carb Diet has given me the best results. They have a Quiz to take that will gage your addiction to Carbs. I, unfortunately, fall on the SEVERE end haha. It is, however, very interesting, and really makes you realize how our bodies work when putting the wrong things in our mouth.

So once again I embark on the Carb Diet. But it definitely works for me!! :) Please join me every Wednesday for "Weigh in Wednesday". As I have already mentioned, I believe accountability plays a major roll in being healthy and achieving any goal.

Congrats to you!!! It's a great road to be traveling that's for sure. I know a million diets are out there - and I have my personal favorite, so I'm gonna tell you about it! It is Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover - as seen on HSN.

The key to weight loss success though, is following through with the program. *(what ever program you use) Keep doing it. Every day.

Okay, here is my 2 cents- you might want to check out
myfooddiary.com

I don't work for them or anything, but it is a FANTASTIC tool for helping you see not only a breakdown of what you are eating (carbs, calories, fat, protien) it also tracks your nutrition as far as vitamins and water, etc.

It has great feedback each day and tons of tools and forums to talk to other people.

I lost 25 pounds using it and LOVED it. It is only $9 a month, so it won't break the bank either!

Just thought I would pass it on, I found it to be an awesome tool.

I recently lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers. I am so happy. It is the best thing I've ever done. And just wait until people start to notice and comment...then it really gets fun. I still need to lose 20 more and that is going a lot slower. If you can't do anything else just walk a lot. And drink more water than you think possible in one day. You'll spend a lot of time on the pot but you'll just pee out the weight. Trust me.

Good for you! I, too, struggle with weight, and I've begun ramping up my exercise routine, so that I'm walking/jogging 3 miles 3 times a week. I need to get the food in balance, too, for it to show results. I'm excited for you to begin, and I love the "Matilda" reference!

Crystal..thanks for your encouragement. I have heard really great things about Weight Watchers..that I one diet I never "officially" tried. but you are right about the water and walking. So simple but so hard haha. That is so great that you have had such success.

Paige running 3 miles? ahhhhhhhhhhhh Oh boy I hope I can work my way up to that. Thats so great you are able to endure that length of exercise. I was wondering if anyone would know what the "Trunchbowl" was referring too hahhahhaha. A movie I strangely love hahaha :)

Hey Tara! Checking in with you...Today was "mega-grocery" shopping day, and I got stocked up on lots of healthy stuff...so...I'm joining you tomorrow on the food aspect of my regime. Probably a wee bit of lowcarb mixed in with plain ol' healthy-eating-cutting-calories-workingoutlikeafool-eating plan! We'll do it this time! Getting healthy!
PS. I can't wait for people to start noticing my weight loss (when it starts!), like Crystal said!! (How many pounds til it starts showing???!) I've been walking for almost 6 weeks now, and haven't seen the scale go down yet, I guess I'm building muscle. I can tell here and there that things are tightening up and clothes are a TINY bit looser. :)
I guess I'll weigh in on Wed. like you!!

Oh good I am so glad you are going to start as well :) I know what you mean about noticing. I always feel like people notice when I don't think you can tell at all.. so I think they are NUTS haha. You have a great foundation though with walking all this time. I can't wait for you to Weigh in next Wed too..

A little about me...



It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
