20lb Loss Giveaway!


I had a bad Weigh In this week... No results at all... I have contemplated all week whether or not to let this make me crabby.. so I am thinking.. to make myself feel "better" lol I will celebrate the fact that I have lost 20 lbs, by offering a GIVEAWAY! lol

If you aren't interested in exercise or health, you may NOT want to put your name in the "hat"!

In the spirit of losing weight, I am giving away a cool two set dvd exercise video by George Foreman, called Walk It Off with George! The DVDS focus on circuit walking and also boxing. Perhaps, this will inspire some healthy habits in your home. Also, adding in a cute little 31 day devotional for Mothers.

Hang in there... I know how hard it is. I've been up and down more times than I can count. Lost 50 lbs once, but it took me a year to do it. Kept most of it off until last year when I gained 10. Having a hard time shedding it, but really need to lose 25... so could probably use your book!

Hey, I'm sorry about your discouraging weigh in. I'm right there with you. I'm still not in that dress...yikes! I'm still keeping on. Twenty pounds is so great though. I'm jealous lol.

just found your blog through BW. Have you had your thyroid checked? A low thyroid can often contribute to weight gain and inability to shed weight easily....

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Sorry to hear your little guy gets bored very easily-that usually is a sign of very high intelligence! :) You should try some activities that involve multuple steps before acomplishing a result-like letting him mix muffin mix (have it all pre measured for him) and you could try letting him have a plant to take care of-start with a seed with some dirt and water in a bag taped to a window and let him see it grow-then move it to a pot and let him tend to it (unless this will cause you a bigger mess, it could be an indoor kitchen activity) Anyways, good luck!!

Hi, Tara. Great job on losing 20lbs! Keep working toward your next goal! You are doing awesome! Even on the biggest loser (where they have trainers), there are weeks of no weight loss and even gain. Maybe, add one of the nine options, right? I'm still learning, so, offer me some additional advice :). Have you tried the GTF Chronium? I'm thinking on it but haven't been able to find it. Tell me what you know.

I found your blog today. Very timely for me. I went to the doctor this week to have blood work done. I have been very tired and have no stamina. Seems that my bad cholestrol (LDL) is 247.
100 and lower is optimal and mine is in the worst area (above it by 70+). My doctor told me that I am in danger of having a stroke or heartattack.
I am in my 30s and was it ever a wakeup call. I have known that I need to eat healthier and exercise. I'm just not vain. Lazy but not vain.
The thought of leaving my children without a mom has made me do some serious soul searching and I am making changes to my diet and to my lack of exercise.

What I would say to you is to NOT let this weigh in sink your ship. You may have gained some muscle or lost inches but not pounds.

Regardless, don't let the enemy sidetrack you by thoughts of failure. You are on a Journey. Keep doing what is right and be faithful to taking care of yourself. You will feel better no matter what your weigh in says.

Keep on keeping on. It is not easy but you have the desire to do it. Hang in there!!

Nice to meet you! I have been trying to get onto your family website for a few days and I have had no luck in getting in, I even tried a few minutes ago, and I was still unable to get in. Dan and I were in Las Vegas a few weeks and I thought I was finally going to meet one of Dan's siblings, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time.

A little about me...



It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
