Weigh in Wednesday

Only 1 lb again this week!!!! grrr... Well, I hit my 25 lb loss mark!! So I am thrilled about that. I hope everyone is doing well with following their eating plans and exercising!!! This particular program that I am doing the Carb Addict "diet" talks about hitting plateaus and how usually there is a reason. Perhaps I am eating something during the day that is triggering my insulin release prematurely.. Something like a sweet n' low in my coffee could be causing this.. which in turn can slow or stop weight loss.. grrrrr.. lol So this week.. I am going to eliminate the sweetner, and really watch my dinner to make sure it is no longer than an hour. Even a few minutes past the hour makes a difference! If you aren't familiar with the Carb Addict "diet" you probably think I am nuts lol I have to say this diet makes sense and its the only one that has ever worked for me. So please go read about it and form your own opinions. Until next week...

Great job for you!! Just that 1 more pound made it 25!! Yay! Are you still feeling motivated?
I hear what you are saying about the sweetener...I am going to get off Diet Pepsi because I think that may be part of my problem.
Keep it up!!

Good luck on your next adventure of losing the sweetners..it's true they are all EVIL!

Hi, Tara. I made my first short-term goal! I'm at 198 lbs! Hooray! My total weight loss is 13 lbs. I lost a surprising 3.5 lbs this week! I worked my tail off cause I wanted to make that goal. My next goal is 10 lbs by July 16th. I'm so hoping! I'll be 188. I have four babies. So I'm ticking off the lingering weight from each baby. 207 was baby number 4. 195 is baby number 3. 187 is baby number 2. 175 is baby number 1. 145 is wedding day! I'm weird, I know. Congratulations on another week of weight loss. You didn't gain and you didn't stay the same. You are moving in the right direction! Try the GTF Chromium, it works! My hubby purchased a stationary bike for me. I haven't been able to excercise regularly. So, this will help me to be much more consistent. I'm excited. I'm going to try the HIIT Program. I can't remember the site I got it from but I read it on Works for Me Wednesday this morning. I think it was "Magic Weight Loss" or something. Anyway, it is suppose to maximize fat loss and increase metabolism. The poster sang it's praises. I'm going to give it a whirl. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks for checking on me each week and thanks for letting me weigh-in. I actually anticipate it! You have truly inspired me. Keep up your good work. 1 lb each week is great. The book says, 1 - 2 lbs per week is the healthiest weight loss. I think that posting about your weight loss is God's will for you because I would never have known about this diet. I would still be struggling and not understanding why I can't lose. THANKS! THANKS! THANKS!

You can do it! Don't be discouraged! Try something different to exercise this week. Sometimes when your muscles get used to a routine they stop burning as many calories. That's where I'm at...needing to switch up my routine to get off this plateau.

Your honesty and openness is so refreshing! It will be a good week!

Marlina, I am also contemplating the idea of ending my diet soda escapades lol.. I usually drink a diet dr pepper for lunch.. something to look forward tooo... but that could be what messes me up as well.. grrr... :)

Hi, Tara, Thanks for the comment on my blog! I struggle with the weight thing too and marked your carb page so I can spend some time reading over it. I really think I have an addiction to sugar and carbs, so this may help me. I noticed you have several links to money-making sites - which one would you recommend? I am retiring next year and would like to make my blogging/freelancing actually pay some money! Thanks!

Hi Mrs Who.. I can tell you the one site that I KNOW works for sure is Payperpost. I have made over 150 since April or May can't remember lol. It's pretty easy once your blog is accepted and you get the hang of it. At first I had a bad attitude lol because I couldn't understand it.. now its pretty easy. The other pay buttons I have are mainly surveys and read emails. Some surveys pay you 50 cents to 5 dollars to complete.. so it can be worth it. lol But I don't pay for anything and don't sign up with any conditions.. and I never give my read phone number.. lol That's just me though!!! :) Hope this helps.

You can do it! One thing I liked was "Jazzercise." A group of women doing cardio, strength and stretching together to really fun music, great atmosphere. You can also get DVDs of it, if you get bored with your routine (I get bored - that is, when I stick to a routine!)
I encourage you to think of yourself as "you" and "your body" - not your body AS you - because then the emotional triggers are disabled a bit and you can think of the changes you want with your body more as a strategy or goal and less as tied to self-worth. That's just something I've been thinking about for myself lately.
You're doing great!!!

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
