I found your blog while checking out people who visited me during to bloggy carnival (Mom2ways.blogspot.com). The blog name caught my attention. You sound a lot like me, except I'm on the verge of 40, not 30. (October is the big one). Your before picture looks like me. (Even the long brown hair.) Last year I lost about 30 pounds, but I gained it back (plus a bit more). I'm within a couple of pounds of my highest ever weight. 273 yesterday. I'm going to follow your blog.

Hi Tara,
I can relate and would like to invite you to consider a completely different approach to losing the weight and keeping it off. I am blogging about my journey as a support group leader for such a method on Marna Goldstein Thall's ThinWithinU membership site. It's only $1 to try it for 30 days. I'm sorry if this sounds like an ad, but it's really my excitement that is leading me to people who are challenged with losing weight and keeping it off.

You see the difference for me is that I have weight to lose, but I'm leading the group already. That makes me accountable and puts me in the frame of mind of beginning to feel and think like a naturally thin person.

I also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and have found it quite useful for many issues centered around emotional eating, food cravings and getting rid of old beliefs.

A little about me...



It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
