My Question:

This is a selfish Question.  My husband's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks.  Do you have an idea for a gift?  Something interesting..unique?  I need help!!  :)

Thanks for your ideas!!

You could write him a little poem and put it in the paper.Make him his favorite dinner or take him him out Or maybe get him and yourself a shirt from here: http://www.frommetees.com/

I am getting a set for my hubby and myself for our anniversary. I like the my husband and my wife rocks tshirts.

Good luck!

Oh, the dreaded question. I rack my brain and the brain of everyone within a 40 mile square radius of me. I'm so lame, I usually opt for cologne or a watch. However, I'm thinking about planning sweet weekend getaway for the next big holiday. Maybe your hubs would like that, too! Or, cologne! :-)

I am horrible at giving gifts to my husband too. However, I might be able to help you for next year? I carry a small notebook in my purse. Everytime my husband says something like, "oh that is cool" or "I totally wanted to buy (fill in blank)" I write it down immediately. Then when Christmas, birthday, father's day rolls around I just take a look and pick something I can also use :).

Come visit my first Aloha Friday HERE!

Lately, we are trying to focus less on stuff and more on experiences. So, we are giving days at favorite places or places the person may like but has never been. For Hubby this year it would be a day at the new Mets baseball field. I don't know what your husband likes but I say pick something to do that is all about him and do it. :)

I don't know why but I have a hard time picking out something for men and I usually wind up buying Cologne or giving a gift card to Home Depot.

I am awful with gifts for my husband but he is so hard to buy for. In the past I have bought books that he has said he would like to read but other than that I am not much help for ideas.

Hard for me to help with this. Does he like any games or anything else? Perhaps a nice dinner out to celebrate out with just you. Good luck, I always have a tough time doing this with TechyDad.

Oh, I hate having to think of gifts. Even now, I sit here completely blank. If something comes to me later, I'll let you know! Good luck!! :-)

memories always worked here maybe a love not of sorts that would cross over the good times and how much you love him

Ohhh girl! I'm so bad at this. Every year my husband gets the short end of the stick b/c I just don't know what to do for him. Everything he desires is way out of our budget. He's just harder to shop for, period. I know I wasn't much help..but I hope you get some good ideas from others. :)

my husband likes techy things - so his last couple gifts were a kindle, a touch and a totally unnecessary universal remote control with a touch screen

I have to admit to being lucky that my hubby has a hobby. He likes to restore old cars so I always know there's something out there for him! Plus we both are avid readers. Oh & a few years ago I got him an ipod. If yours has one maybe an upgrade?

Good luck!

Ooooo. . . .get him a massage! Depending on where you live ~ there may be several massahe schools and they offer much cheaper massages for the students - but the massages are still great! If your guy has never had one ~ he'll love it after de tries it!

What if you set up a romantic evening, with his favorite dinner, candles, and you?

That a hard one since I can't even think of something to get my husband. :-) I got him a Nintendo DS for Valentines Day.

Advance Happy Birthday to your hubby.

How about a personalized gift? Like a collage of his memorable moments. You can include childhood photos of him and the more recent ones. You can have it framed.

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
