My QUESTION:

You know how they say there can never be a stupid question? Well I have one lol

Do you wash the egg from the egg carton before you use it?

My Answer:

Well, I didn't use too. But.. someone told me not too long ago .. "How could you NOT wash the egg..just think of where it came from" LOL SICK. So now I wash the eggs.. hmmm kind of dumb.. when we are cracking them anyway!

Government regulations require that USDA-graded eggs be carefully washed and sanitized using special detergent, so I don't wash them myself!

I don't usually wash the egg. But I do wash the outside of all my fruit and vegetables and even rinse of my meat. :)

It's not like you are eating the outside of the egg...plus you cook it.

I honestly believe that they are washed before they arrive to you. Are they perfectly clean, not likely, but you do not eat the shell. With that said we use mainly egg beaters for healthier eating anyway.

depends on wher I bought the egg if they are country eggs yes but store eggs no

My father has his own chickens and thus his own eggs - and he mentioned to me once that washing the eggs can actually make them prone to bacteria or some such thing - he just wipes them off with a dry cloth before cracking them. Store bought eggs should not need to be cleaned at all.

Buying eggs from the store there is no need to wash them first. They have already been washed buy the company. If you buy eggs from a farm then you may need to wash them. Check with your farmer to make sure.

Nope. I don't eat the shell! thats the part that came in contact with anything. I am pretty sure the egg people wash them some how before they get to the store. I have never had eggs straight from the farm.

I do not wash the eggs first here, but when I lived overseas I always did. This was due to the fact that they often still had chicken droppings on them. So gross!

Hmmm...I never thought about that before...but yuck. Maybe I'll start. No, not time for the makeover yet...I was changing some stuff up and something went waaaay out of wack...ended up having to re-do a lot of stuff...and yes...we will find our motivation...I'm going to try with that Body after baby thing....along with my bloggest loser...and any other support I find lol.

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
