Aloha Friday

An Island Life is hosting Aloha Friday.
. I thought it would be fun to participate. All you have to do is answer the question I ask by leaving a
comment. Then click over to An Island Life and link up to Aloha Friday with your own question!

My Question:
Are you happy with your present health care? Does it make you nervous that "they" are trying to push a nearly 2 trillion dollar health care bill through in the next few weeks?

My Answer:

My husband has a great job with wonderful benefits. We are so thankful to have good insurance. With this "new" health plan "if" it passes we could most likely lose our insurance. I feel that obviously our country needs some fixing..but something like health care needs to be done right..and the slower the better.. Why the push?

Our insurance is pretty good. I think we often take it for granted. Of course we also pay an arm and a leg for our family plan . . . and the co-pays are crazy. Hard to believe that hubby's medical employer has such lame rates. Still I know if we paid cash we would never be able to afford anything.

We have very good health insurance, however, we pay an outrageous amount for it each month and every year it increases about 10%. Someone is getting very, very wealthy and it is not my husband, his employer, or our doctor.

Hubby is retired military & we are using that health care right now. I am really concerned about our insurance in the future though. Obama has already tried once to cut retirees health benefits. I don't know what we'd do if he really does succeed.

Our current health insurance is pretty good, but in the recent past we were without health insurance for several years. We had two babies during that time, paying out of pocket. Even with that experience of being insurance-less, I would much rather have my freedom than my security. Back out of my health care, Mr. President!

By the way, health care plan protests are being staged at every congressional office all across the country Today (Friday). See TeaPartyPatriot for more.

For what we pay our insurance is pretty good. We had to pay a lot more this year because my husband's company passed the cost down to the employees, so I'm scared of what will happen next.

The health care bill is the best alternative to have gone through congress yet. They gotta do something.

Just like you my husband works for a great company with fantastic benefits. It seems like other than a co-pay we don't pay for much of anything extra.

I feel that what we need is a long term solution, not a quick fix from the government. I certainly think there are issues with health care costs in our nation, however, I do not think that the present plan is the right way to go.

My husband has awesome benefits. So I am very happy with that...

As for the new health care bill, I don't know very much about it...we have been gone and busy so I haven't been watching tv very much. Sad I know...but I got nothing!

European health care is different than the american ones.. but we are pretty satisfied with what we have now! It only doesn't cover bigger teeth problems(only basics.. but we may upgrade some day.. cause i totally need an advanced one on that:))

Happy Aloha Friday!

Wow, glad to see I'm not the only addressing this issue today.

I am 100% DEAD SET against a National Health Care plan. Because, as we all know, anything that is government run is ALWAYS successful. (rolling eyes)

For those with private insurance, remember this bill will DO WAY WITH private insurance - it WILL affect you.

Before Congress subjects all of us to this *wonderful* plan, they need to try it themselves. I encourage everyone to visit http://www.fleming.house.gov/ to support a plan like this first.

I love my doctors but have terrible health insurance that I pay for myself!

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
