Aloha Friday

An Island Life is hosting Aloha Friday.
. I thought it would be fun to participate. All you have to do is answer the question I ask by leaving a
comment. Then click over to An Island Life and link up to Aloha Friday with your own question!

My Question:

This question is not for Democrats or Republicans ect.. this is just a common sense question. Do you think that the president and members of Congress should read the health care bill before pushing it through?

My Answer:
Simply. Yes.
Oh and a follow up to my last week's question re: the animals having the right to sue?! Guess what? There is a new "guy" by the name of John P. Holdren, the man who now advises President Barack Obama on science and technology issues. "Giving “natural objects” -- like trees -- standing to sue in a court of law would have a “most salubrious” effect on the environment" Holdren wrote

Oh don't forget to enter my two giveaways at the top of of my blog!

Of course they should! I think that congress should read EVERY bill that gets passed before them, unfortunately that's not the case... think of how many stupid bills wouldn't have been passed had people had the chance to read them!!!! Its never going to happen but yes I think it should!!

Uh, yeah, all those politicians who vote yes on bills they haven't read or had time to read need to be fired, no matter their party.

I'm not familiar with the Health Care Bill but I think everything should be read before signed.

Yes. I think they should not only have to read it but have to pass a test proving that they read and understood it before they can vote.

And no, I do not think that anything other than a person should have the right to sue. And it ought possibly to be more difficult for people to initiate law suits than it currently is.

YES!! It's their simple job. I was so frustrated when I heard that congressman say he's never read the Health Care Bill. Apparently political offices should be titled "paid vacations" because they don't even expect themselves to work for a living. It's insane!

My two word answer: Of course!

Yes

I think it is ludicrous for them to vote at all on a bill they have not read. So, yes I think they should read it.

I believe in reading everything before signing it especially before signing for the entire country

Yes, of course I think they should. Realistically I know that nobody does. Not sure what should or can be done about it, but it is something that needs to be addressed.

This whole health care issue scares me. Not sure what they are up to but I think the government is turning in the wrong direction. Yes, I think they need to read it thoroughly.

They need to read everything!

I would say yes they need to read it.

Yes they should read every page. Too much gets added under the wire and then it's too late.

Uh yeah! They probably should bring along a red pen and cross out the added rubbish. Would there be anything worth passing?

I absolutely think that all lawmakers should read bills before they are signed. I find it incredibly disturbing that any representative of the people would not protect the people he/she serves by knowing exactly what they are signing.

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
