Break Pal Review & Giveaway!!! *CLOSED*

I am so thrilled to review Break Pal. Break Pal is probably the coolest exercise online program I have come across.

Break Pal is basically an online exercise “buddy”! Let me explain how it works.

1. You need to register.

2. Fill out your profile.

3. Download the Exercise Break Pal Widget

4. Add Friends

Break Pal is designed for people who are busy busy busy. Whether you are at work or at home it’s a great program to promote exercise. Take me for instance! I am a Stay at home Mom, yet because I chase kids around, take care of a home, and blog a lot I tend to put my exercise needs to the side.

How does Break Pal help me?

You download the Break Pal widget to your desktop. Choose your settings. If you want to be reminded every 30 minutes or 45 minutes ect.. no problem. Then the Break pal will sound off every “30” minutes “It’s time to Work out, Are You Ready?” You do have the option for Sound! Then it’s time to choose an exercise such as:

· Cardio

· Cardio Kung Fu

· Yoga

· Simple Stretching

· Chair aerobics

· Chi Kung

· Dance aerobics

These exercises are designed for you in your office or home. You can choose to just do office chair exercises. It is amazing how we can go through an entire day and realize we have hardly moved!

The last couple of years I have heard so many news stories about companies trying to figure out ways to motivate their employees. They are finding their employees sluggish and tired at certain times of the day. Break Pal is a wonderful way to get your blood flowing, and keep you alert!

A British study showed an overall productivity boost of 15% for workers who took short exercise breaks at work. Increases included:

  • Ability to manage time demands
  • Ability to manage output demands
  • Mental and interpersonal performance

The same study found time management skills, mental performance and ability to meet deadlines improved.

What Do I think?

These video exercises are so helpful and make the process fun and easy. Exercise has been known to reduce stress, increase your productivity, increase your health and fitness, promote better moods (we all need that lol), and decrease the risk of computer related injuries.

I have found after using Break pal for the last few days.. that I make more of an attempt to exercise. Even if I don’t want to get up in the moment, I can stop for a few minutes..follow the exercise video, do some arm lifts, just a quick workout then back to work. With all the exercises offered, there is something for everyone. I love the fact that you can invite “friends” and build up your support group with Break Pal!

I personally think Break pal is innovative, and could be something that would change how we spend our days at the computer! The Break Pal website is pretty easy to navigate. I actually took a couple of days to read everything and surf through all the exercises they offer. You can also comment on the exercises..letting them know whether or not you like them. Now if only Break Pal would do the exercises for me! Oh well lol :)

Go Check Break Pal out! You can sign up for FREE with a limited amount of exercises to use, or upgrade to a Premium account ($9.95/month). I know who wants to pay money right? But seriously, when it comes to our health, and realizing this is something that could promote good health and get you back on track with your exercise, then I think it’s worth it! Also, if you think the company you work for might be interested, Break Pal has a Corporate Trial! Wouldn’t that be awesome to have the entire office doing a Corporate Fitness Plan with Break Pal.. so you aren’t alone?

I'd love to win this because I get so caught up in whatever I'm doing online that I forget to take a break and/or exercise. This would remind me to do that. And a year free!!!! What's not to love about that?

Tara! So glad you found me on Facebook! In light of your weight loss journey, I thought you might like the blog Ash Is Fit ( She's taking a little blogging break currently, but her past posts are really inspirational. She's gone from around 250 to 175-ish in the last couple of years. She recently hosted a 20 lbs in 20 weeks challenge that I joined and was grouped with a few other ladies doing the same thing. It's been incredible. Best of luck in your adventure!

This sounds very intriguing. I see it as a great way to motivate me to exercise and it would also be the extra kick in the butt I may need to get off the computer as I am a stay at home mom also and tend to get sucked in easily. Thanks for sharing about this, I had never heard of it.

I am seriously laking in self-motivation so any kind of "help" system to get me up out of my lazy mode is something worth going for :).

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
