Aloha Friday

An Island Life ishosting Aloha Friday. I thought it would be fun to participate. All you have to do is answer the question I ask by leaving a comment. Then click over to An Island Life and link up to Aloha Friday with your own question!

My Question:

Are you prepared for an emergency? Do you
have an emergency list? (food, necessities)

My Answer:

Yes, I do. I try to stock up when I can. With our "dollar" being at the lowest value today in 14 years.. I think the idea that the dollar could fail is possible. I heard.. that if the "dollar" fails then all of our everyday items in the store will immediately spike 30 to 40 percent.

I recently wrote a list of things that are necessary to have on hand. We live in uncertain times don't we?

Gosh, you make me feel so unprepared. I really should - especially with winter right around the corner.

it depends on the complexity of the emergency.. if it's something temporary for a couple of weeks than yeah...if not..then i guess we'd be in trouble:)

Aloha!

I guess it all depends on what the emergency is and what you need to survive it.

Have a great Friday!

We have certain things on hand, but not everything. With our recent pantry pest troubles thanks to buying things on sale, I am no longer doing that practice. Cans are good, but not items in boxes.

Nope. And I was just listening to this guy on Laura Ingraham who is an emergency-situation expert. Made me feel really inept!

We have prepared a lot of things for an emergency. Food, some medical, lighting, generator, and more. It's just smart thinking.

I'm not prepared at all. I want to so bad, but it seems money just go to regular grocery shopping an dnothing else. I MUST though and I will.

We are always prepared. We have 6 kitchen cabinets full of non-perishable food, water, batteries, candles, matches, dc tv/radio, plastic plates/silverware, medical supplies etc. We also have a generator. We live in Florida so we never know when we may have a hurricane and be without electricity or something.

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
