Aloha Friday

An Island Life is hosting Aloha Friday. I thought it would be fun to participate. All you have to do is answer the question I ask by leaving a comment. Then click over to An Island Life and link up to Aloha Friday with your own question!

My Question:

How do you feel about the Net Neutrality Issue? Do you think the Government should "own" the Internet and monitor everything we do and say?

My Answer:

The Net Neutrality Issue is a huge step in the wrong direction, and it encroaches, nearly topples our right to Free Speech. It hasn't passed yet.. however the vote has gone through the FCC and will make it's way to Congress. Let Washington know how you feel on this issue.. As Americans we cannot let this happen!

I wrote about this yesterday here

Please call/fax/e-mail the Whitehouse and the FCC there is also an FCC
website where you can leave a comment

Freedom of Speech seems to be fading

I'll be honest - I haven't heard much about this. But I do love my freedom of speech so I'll be looking more into this issue!

I don't know anything about this... I know I should but I just don't have the energy to be angry anymore.

Net neutrality (don't you love their lying little names for all these programs) is definitely just a way to control speech on the internet. They're trying to do the same thing on talk radio. Theyt will relentlessly attack anyone who speeks out against them. I'm thinking more and more that it's time for the states to exert their power in defense of their citizens and we're getting close to needing some civil disobedience on various issues . . . not yet, but soon.

Government needs to stay out of personal life stuff. but with the teens and child on the net it does have to be monitored by someone. I am not for the government to do this. maybe the internet police.

Don't they control enough already? No they should not. Trying to pass bills for control over things like medical care and internet use only increase our spending and devalues the dollar more. It's time to stop spending what we don't have and leave our freedoms alone.

I haven't heard anything about this. But it doesn't surprise me. They have to be into everything. So many rules.

Cutting to the chase: Net neutrality is fascist.

They don't want neutrality. They want their opinion only. This is an extremely dangerous initiative. Thanks for the resources. I'll be looking into this and taking some action.

It should not happen, but like everything else, Americans...most Americans will give up their rights in the name of freedom.

A freedom banner that is being used as a cloak for more sinister things this govt wishes to do.

A little about me...

It is that time again!!!! I am thinking of attempting to lose weight for the 100 millionth time. haha. This time I know it will work :)

In November of 2007, I gave birth to my second child, a C-Section. Not only did that put me back physically, but I also developed high blood pressure. I am only 29. Talk about discouraging.

I started gaining weight in highschool. Seems to have followed me everywhere. My ultimate goal is to lose 120 lbs but I'll settle for 10 right now. haha.

There is absolutely no reason why I cannot succeed in this weight loss endeavor. I have exercise equipment. I guess that means I have to use it. Also, I am going to attempt the Carbohydrates Addict Diet. I have had some success with this in the past.

So I am thinking, with putting my progress out for the world to see.. it will force me to make the right choices. Let's hope!! Feel free to comment on anything or tell your story. It's always encouraging to hear about others successes. Join me on this weight loss journey...
