My Question:
Do you think Music is Amoral?
Definition:
Not admitting of moral distinctions or judgments; neither moral nor immoral.
Lacking moral sensibility; not caring about right and wrong.
My Answer:
I have been thinking about this question for quite some time, for years in fact.. A long time ago, a gentleman told my father that he believed Music was Amoral. Meaning that music really doesn't affect you..and can't be bad or good. Basically if you like it then it's good.
When I was younger...things were different. There was more of a respect for right and wrong.. more of a respect for our elders. For Laws.. For the Bible.. For each other.
Music.. is interesting.. As much as we would like to say that Music is not right or wrong.. or have any good or bad affect .. we would be kidding ourselves. Is there bad music? Sure. Is there good music? Of course. Music is powerful. Music can control our emotions.. can dictate.. our actions (at times). So does it matter what you listen to? I think it does. I think everything you choose to do in your life..reflects you. Your heart.
As a mother, I look around at things and realize how far America has fallen down this slide "everything goes". If it feels good then it is right, mentality.
As a Christian nation.. we should be founded on the absolutes. We should teach our children what is right and what is wrong. Even music.. has it's place. Thank you for all your comments last week.. I really appreciate all your kind and encouraging comments about my father and niece.

Wow Wow Wubbzy is back... bigger than ever! My kids absolutely LOVE Wubbzy! I asked my 5 year old son why he likes it so much and he says "It's just a neat show mom. And Wubbzy is so cool"
So what is the big deal? Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is releasing it's brand new installments of the best-selling DVD series "Go For Gold". Starring Michelle Kwan as Michelle Kwanzleberry and Tiki Barber as Touchdown Tiki! Of course this is perfect just in time for the Olympics! So important to teach our children to be active and healthy! What better way then to promote the Olympics!
"Wubbzy and his pals start getting geared up to compete in the big event, the Wuzzleburg Wacky Dash, and Michelle advises them to prepare, practice, and have fun! While Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden all devise shortcuts they hope will help them reach the finish line the fastest,
Daizy helps her friends – and young viewers – learn that slow and steady wins the race! "
A little word from the Sponsor:
The top-rated Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! supports preschool social skills – sharing, listening, compromising, helping and appreciating others, self-awareness and the use of humor as a coping skill. Although their world is more fanciful and imaginative than our own, Wubbzy, Daizy, Widget, and Walden deal with the same social and developmental issues faced by preschoolers. They learn how they fit into the group, how to understand their own feelings and those of others, and how to get along with one another.

My Question:
My Dad asked me a question a few weeks ago...that I didn't quite know how to answer... His question: "If you had 2 to 4 years left to live.. what would you do with your life?" You can read my post here to see why Dad asked me this question.
So I will pass this question on to you...
My Answer:
My answer then.. wasn't very structured. And even now.. it's hard to seriously prioritize a life.. picking and choosing what would be more important.. One of the things I told my Dad that day was.. that I think for me.. I might have a few things that I might want to do .. but I think my list would never end. I would find something else.. that I would want to do or see.. or experience.
Probably the most important thing to me would be to spend time with my family.. my husband and kids. Be the woman that God wants me to be.
